A new FBU ICT testing centre has open in Durham FRS following discussions between local FBU officials and brigade management. This follows agreement between the British Computer Society and the FBUs National Learning Centre (based in Northumberland FRS HQ) to open up to 10 examination centres across the regions.

Claire Wealleans, Learning Centre Manager and Craig Pharoah, Regional Education & Learning Organiser in Region 3, said they were delighted that the Durham Centre had gained approval and those learners undertaking courses such as the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) could take their tests in a local FBU centre.
