Learning journey reaches new peaks

One of our FBU ULF Team is trekking to Everest Base Camp in Nepal starting on October 7th. Mark Dunne has been working within the FBU ULF since 2012 and has always had an interest in sport and training but has been inspired to push himself and learn more through the courses, qualifications and learning opportunities that the FBU ULF have provided.

Mark started with completing the FBU ULF Exercise Studies Level 1 distance learning course, when the opportunity to enrol and complete the Nutrition and Health Level 2 course it was a natural progression. These two courses and qualifications gave a good basis to enrol and study for the FBU Level 3 Personal Training apprenticeship that was provided through FBU Learning Centre.

The knowledge and practical use of all this learning inspired Mark to take on this challenge and experience the natural beauty of Mount Everest and the Himalaya region, although adapting to altitude and the cold remain the foremost challenges in that environment.

Mark decided to try and raise some money for the charity Lupus UK and should you wish to support him you can sponsor him on the following link; www.justgiving.com/fundraising/DunneyTrek

So who knows where your learning journey will take you...there's only one way to find out!

All FBU Learning Centre courses are fully accredited.
