Heat Illness Prevention and Awareness (HIPA) ready to launch

The FBU ULF Project and Learning Centre team are pleased to annouce the launch of the first part of their ongoing HIPA training and awareness package.

This work had been undertaken after a successful Innovation bid to the DfE and Unionlearn and is the result of partnership work with Beach Design, University of Brighton and the support of Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service.

As the package is created and released there will be:

  • A powerpoint presentation with detailed voiceover from the University of Brighton
  • A  more detailed, interactive e-learning package with self assessment quizzes at the end of each section
  • A Level 2 learning course

More information and when this will become available to FBU members and F&RS employees will be released this month (FEB '19), we have attached the poster for distribution across all FBU Networks. Your local FBU officials will be updated on the launch and e-learning module.
