I am Phil Millar and I have recently taken up the role of Project Manager for the Region 2 Union Learning Fund (ULF) Project. Your officials in Region 2 have recently secured local funding which now allows FBU members in Northern Ireland the opportunity to participate in the distance learning courses available from our National Learning Centre.
This is a fantastic opportunity for Region 2 and I would like to see Life Long Learning for FBU members expand and flourish over the coming years.
I am very pleased to be able to report that for the remainder of the financial year ending 31st March 2018 we will be delivering the following courses at Level 2 (equivalent to a pass at GCSE)
Team Leading Knowledge
Understanding Nutrition and Health
Awareness of Mental Health Problems
Equality and Diversity
The Principles of Dementia Care
Principles of Working with Individuals with Learning Difficulties
In addition to the above we can also facilitate a number of Essential Skills Courses in Maths, English & Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
If you wish to know more or you want to register your interest in any of the above courses you can do so by clicking on the link on the homepage.
In addition if you would like more information on the FBU Lifelong Learning Programme please contact myself by phone or email as listed below.
